Our Guiding Principles
Sustainable business practices apply far beyond the traditional thought processes of environmentally friendly manufacturing processes.
True sustainability can only be achieved through continuous and collaborative development and must include transparency and continuous improvement.
Our goal is to create our products through economically sound processes that minimize negative environmental impacts while conserving energy and natural resources.
Sustainability is ingrained in the BWI culture and will lead to sustainable growth for a better company.
Sustainability is key for BWI Group to support our customers, the market and industry regulations.
We are involved in several auditing services that measure our progress towards Sustainability
- Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
- Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
- NQC (SAQ 5.0)
- Responsible Business Alliance (RBA)
- Responsible Mineral Initiative (RMI)
- Expanded Mineral Reporting Template (EMRT)
As part of our Strategic initiatives, we intend to improve our Sustainability performance and are committing to align our business with a near-term target of 1.5°C for Scopes 1 and 2 and less than 2°C for Scope 3 emissions by the year 2033. BWI Group intends to develop science-based emissions reduction in line with SBTi’s target-setting criteria.
Additionally, we are developing the strategy to achieve a net-zero value chain GHG score before 2040.
