The PC&L SAP Master Data Analyst will work with the business to develop both standard and custom SAP solutions for SAP Master Data. SAP Master Data includes the creation and maintenance of Engineering released part numbers and Bills of Material (BOM’s) within SAP.  Once entered, other BWI disciplines such as Finance, Purchasing, Industrial Engineering, Sales, and plant PC&L may also complete needed SAP data for their particular needs.  The SAP Master Data Analyst will ensure that SAP part number and BOM data adheres to an agreed upon global footprint to insure all BWI facilities populate SAP in the same manner.  They will use their knowledge of business processes to work with our global locations and provide solutions when unique situations arise. This position focuses on data entry, plant support, communication, and product knowledge with a primary emphasis on attention to detail.

 

Key accountabilities are:

SAP Master Data is accurate and timely
Knowledge of BWI customers and their associated product programs
Participate in the implementation testing, rollout, and training for new and enhanced functionality within SAP.
Understanding of complete Supply Chain
Leverage business knowledge and expertise to suggest improvements
Prepare user personnel training materials and assist users in the conversion and implementation of system solutions
 

Responsibilities Include:

 

Daily monitoring of approved Engineering documents
Ability to interpret Engineering documents as to their relationship to SAP
Entry of new part numbers and associated data into SAP
Entry of new BOM’s into SAP
Ensure that data entered adheres to BWI Global footprint
Ability to recognize when Engineering data is incorrect or missing and communicate these problems to appropriate person
Develop strong working relationships with plant PC&L personnel
Communicate BOM changes to plant PC&L personnel to establish and track break points
Develop a strong working relationship with key users in other BWI disciplines
Ability to lead groups to develop SAP solutions to unique situations
Assist and troubleshoot SAP business problems and develop solutions within SAP using available tools and techniques
Act as SAP Liaison for other SAP data entry people
Audit SAP data periodically for conformance
Responsive to internal customers on questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Ability and willingness to take initiative and work with business users to get the job done
Ability to support locations in other global regions as required
 

Qualifications Include:

 

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
Basic experience with SAP
Manufacturing plant experience preferred
BWI Product Line knowledge preferred
Knowledgeable in ERP systems, business processes, and Supply Chain
Experience in the Automotive Industry is preferred
Self-directed and able to work independently
Ability to work on multiple complex tasks at the same time.
Must work well in a team environment
Excellent communication skills in both oral and written
Computer skills in Excel, Power Point and Word
