BWI North America & Global responsibilities

– Maintain global ePR table in Excel and SAP
– Assist HR with payroll processing & posting monthly payroll to SAP
– Review & approve journal vouchers
– Open/Close accounting periods
– Oversee master data including vendor, general ledger and cost center
– Administer travel & expense reimbursement program
– Create global profitability by product line report
– Provide tracking and analysis of capital spending projects upon request
– Process fixed assets transactions such as capitalizations, disposals and depreciation
– Assign asset tags to assets in Kettering, Moraine and Brighton locations
– Accounting for customer tooling and non-recurring engineering rebills
– Supervisor 3 analysts: (a) US sales and use tax (b) expense reports and p-card payables & (c) fixed assets
– Review & approve journal vouchers – BWI Japan

Month End Accounting tasks:

– Settle Internal Orders to Capital Work In Progress
– Review & approve MX freight accrual
– Prepare & post diesel global accrual
– Review Trial Balance
– Prepare allied reconciliation sheet
– Post BWI Italy Trial Balance
– Post BWI Germany Trial Balance
– Accounting for loan interest and principle
– Pull payroll file from Paycor and cash file from JPMC for expense reporting
BWI – Japan
– Post Depreciation & tax accrual
– Settle Internal order to Capital Work in Progress
– 3 FX batch jobs
– Prepare allied reconciliation sheet & review and submit trial balance to HQ

Annual Accounting

– Roll over GL balances
– Close & open fixed asset years
– Prepare audit workbook for fixed assets
– Audits:  pull fixed assets samples & create workflows, responsible for multiple tabs on the audit workbook
– Some GLs need to e cleared to 0 at year end.  Post appropriate Journal Vouchers
BWI – Japan
– Pull & prepare reports for the Japan federal tax return
– Japan Pension Adjustments calc & JV

As Needed:

– Post IFRS15 & IFRS16 JVs prepared by HQ
– Fixed assets inventory every 2 years.  Last performed in 2018.  Need to perform in 2020.
– Source for questions regarding BWI Italy & BWI Germany expenses/budget


Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel
 Strong interpersonal skills
 Must possess analytical thinking and reasoning skills
 Must be thorough and exercise attention to detail
 Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
 Must possess strong problem solving skills
 Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting


3-5 years in Corporate or Public Accounting / Financial Analysis in a large company environment– Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)
