BWI Group responds as the demand grows for active safety systems in the China automotive market.
BWI Group opens up the 2016-2017 winter test season with a significant expansion of its winter test site in Daqing, People’s Republic of China. Daqing is located in North-Eastern China, in Heilongjiang province.
The expansion was undertaken in response to BWI Group Brakes Division’s growing customer base. BWI Group continues to provide world class testing services to every customer, a hallmark of the high standards BWI clients have come to expect from the company.
BWI Group first opened its Daqing test site in time for the 2012 winter test season. For this year’s expansion, new and improved test tracks were built for controlled brake system vehicle development. Included in the new construction is the addition of a second grade for the development of advanced controlled brake system features such as Hill Launch Assist and Electric Park Brake systems.
A second engineering center has also been built at the site, with expansive garage space, offices, and conference rooms. The garage boasts secure areas for customer vehicles in order to maintain customer confidentiality. Wi-Fi connectivity is available throughout the site. Upgrades also include the convenience of a customer car wash, and the installation of electric vehicle chargers in response to the increasing number of electric vehicle applications.
This expansion of Daqing winter test site allows BWI to further its commitment to developing the latest technologies in controlled brake systems.
BWI Group is looking forward to hosting numerous customer events this winter.
